The Viability of Simplicity. Modern video games tend to have superfluous components, be it repetitive side quests, excessive gameplay mechanics, or needless growth systems. These components are designed to make the game feel bigger than it actually is, thus it feels like you get more bang for your buck. But what if a game were simple?
