Squirrels, similar to other categories of rats, are not to be fed peanuts or other encouraging foods. Your 'cute' squirrel is a nuisance and causes damage to other nearby properties. Others don't need to put wire around their property; You need to stop feeding the squirrels to nest and create offspring. btw Coyotes are awesome 'dogs' that eat squirrels and rabbits. :) Silly and Fun.
