COVID-19 update, Feb 28: New Zealand, Lithuania, Nigeria and Belarus confirm first cases

On Feb 28, at least four more countries, including New Zealand, Lithuania, Nigeria and Belarus, confirmed their first cases of COVID-19. New Zealand's patient, like the one in Belarus, had recently visited Iran. The 60-year-Kiwi had returned from Tehran via Bali. Meanwhile, Nigeria and Lithuania's first infections are linked to the growing outbreak in northern Italy. The Nigerian case is a 39-year-old Italian who had been in Milan. Nigeria is viewed as one of the world's most vulnerable to the spread of the virus given its fragile health system and high population density.
