Air strike hits main television tower in Kyiv, killing five

An air strike hits Kyiv's main television tower on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 as Russia warns Ukrainian capital. A video published on the Telegram channel of Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko shows the critical event.

The attack knocked out some state broadcasting capabilities but leaving the structure intact. Smoke billows after the apparent Russian strike hits the tower.

The interior ministry said equipment had been damaged and channels won't work for a while. Five people reportedly died and another five were injured on Tuesday in the missile strike.
