Aaron Carter proceeded from being a pre-teen thrust into the music industry at age 12 to a troubled, beleaguered young adult. His music reflects this change, becoming, in my opinion, more personal, down-to-earth, and relatable over time. It is not often that we are able to follow the life of a child music celebrity through their adulthood; his case is a rare opportunity to consider the effects of starting extremely young in the music industry.
