U.S. Marine Corps, Sgt. Maj. Mike Tuttle (Ret.) gives us an inside look during the field force cycle of training held at the Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape course in Maine. SERE is an advanced code of conduct course. All military personnel get their initial code-of-conduct instruction during basic training, where they are taught an American service member's legal responsibilities if captured by enemy forces.
