How to Stop feeling lonely and Make REAL Friends
I receive emails, direct messages and comments all the time from people who are seeking to improve their lives and one of the common themes I've noticed is that a lot of people are really lonely. Despite being connected online I feel that people are more isolated than ever, especially after covid socially wrecked everyone. As we age, take new opportunities and change as people its likely that our friend groups will slowly fade away. Sometimes people cling to these old friend groups that are no longer serving them because there is some inherent guilt associated with making new friends or letting friendships wither away. My opinion is that if you're lonely, its because your current friends are no longer serving you, you're not being an active participant in your relationships, or they are simply no longer part of your life. So, what's the solution? Well in todays video I share some of the principles I've learned from the book How To Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Carnegie. I also share some of my thoughts after moving away from home, changing careers and growing as a person that has led to myself having to constantly build new relationships in order to combat personal loneliness.
