Lynn Picknett - Jesus, Mormons, Mary Magdalene. An Interview for Mormon Stories Europe

Lynn joined the LDS church in her early years in York, England, but left a few years later. She went on to have a career in journalism, the media including print, radio and TV. We discuss, Lynn’s life, career, books, feminism, early christianity, biblical history, as well as her relationship and experience with Mormonism past and present. Lynn has authored and co-authored several bestselling books, that have created much discussion and controversy, such as the Secret History of Lucifer. One of her books - The Templar Revelation - was the non-fiction inspiration for the Da Vinci Code, and even got her and her co-author Clive Price a cameo part in the movie! Mandaeans are a closed ethno-religious community, practicing Mandaeism, which is a Gnostic religion (manda means "knowledge," as does "gnosis") with a strongly dualistic worldview. They especially reject Jesus and call him a traitor and false prophet who was sent by planetary rulers to lead mankind astray. They do revere John the Baptist instead as the true prophet of God.
