Fairbairn Dam, south of Emerald, is sitting at around 40 per cent capacity, the highest it's been in five years. The dam reached a record low level of 7.39 per cent in 2020 and farmers have started many of the last few years with no water allocations. But after recent rain, Sunwater announced farmers would have 100 per cent access to their allocated water.
