"My mom just decided to put me in this theater camp. All of a sudden, I really liked it and all my family saw that there was some kind of spark, some kind of difference when I was on stage and being able to play a different character, I was so open. I was so free, there was no fear that the audience was there. There was no stress. It was just like pure magic."
- Danny Keenan, writer and actor.

In our newest video, Autism Theater Project founder, Gena Sims, speaks to writer and actor, Danny Kennan. Danny speaks on his experience growing up with autism and how theater helped him overcome social anxiety. Danny also touches on his project he made last year, which is a show called "There are no words", inspired by his and his autistic nephew's own experiences and struggles. Danny explains that if he weren't in the performing arts, he would still be on a journey of figuring out how to communicate with people. Now a classically trained actor, Danny wants to change the way the film industry portrays autism, with his original work.
