An earthquake of magnitude 6.7 struck off the southern coast of Panama on Thursday morning.
The earthquake struck at a shallow depth of 10 km in the Pacific Ocean, 62 km south of Boca Chica, a small coastal village.
According to social media users, the tremors were felt in the provinces of Chiriqui, Panama, Colon, Panama-Oeste and Cocle.
The quake did not trigger a tsunami threat, according to the US Tsunami Warning System.
