Rallies held across Pakistan in support of Imran Khan

Thousands of protesters gathered in Pakistani cities, including Islamabad, Quetta and Lahore, to show their support for former prime minister Imran Khan, following an attempt on his life during a rally.

In Islamabad the protest got violent, as riot police used tear gas and demonstrators threw stones while blocking a highway.
