Keikis! Orchid keikis! The survivors or propatation of an orchid to make more of the same! I LOVE me some keikis, no matter which ones. Sometimes orchids produce keikis because the mother plant is under stress, and growing keikis is the way to secure the orchid's survival. However, not ALL keikis that an orchid produces, is because of stress. Many orchids have keiki production in their DNA and that includes species orchids as well as complex hybrids. So.... how many keikis can an orchid produce? How many keikis can a phalaenopsis orchid produce? Can keikis be allowed to bloom while attached to the mother plant?
