Operation Eagle (Codename Eagle) is a first-person shooter developed by Swedish company Refraction in 1999 and released on the PC platform in 2000.
Operation Eagle features a variety of vehicles, including tanks, motorcycles, aircraft, ships and even airships. The game was released with a large number of bugs and was criticized by many media for not being complete in its detailed settings.
However, DICE saw the game's shining point, and soon acquired Refraction, and after learning a lot of lessons from Operation Eagle, produced Battlefield 1942, which eventually became a big success.
