The Havening Techniques are a psychosensory modality that is designed to help individuals overcome problems that are the consequence of traumatic encoding by using sensory input to alter thought, mood, and behavior. The Havening Techniques are designed to alter the biological structure of the brain, by disrupting pathways through a process called synaptic depotentiation. Meaning, it is as if we darken a room by pulling a plug on a lit lamp.

It can be used as a self healing tool or in a therapeutic setting for emotional disturbances and encoded psychological trauma, wellness, stress management, performance, as a self-help tool.

Every healing method has side effects, and it is possible to experience negative side effects with the Havening Techniques. Therefore, if you have experienced a serious trauma or have a psychological disorder, it is recommended of using the Havening Techniques only with a professional mental health care provider.

In the video I am demonstrating the therapeutic touch aspect of the technique, but there is much more to the technique depending on goals. I use positive affirmation Havening, Emotional release Havening, and Event Havening in my 1:1 private coaching practice.
