Relationship between the Upper Cervical Spine and the TMJ Bite

This presentation is mainly focused on the observation of an intimate relationship between the Upper Cervical Spine and the TMJ/Jaw/Bite. Issues with one can cause issues with the other. Traditionally these two areas are treated separately but lately in the research and in the Upper Cervical Chiropractic community and Functional Dentistry communities, there are more instances of collaborative work between doctors treating patients with these issues. Three research studies will be reviewed as well as clinical experiences by the presenter. Also, ways to possibly identify when a referral to an Upper Cervical Chiropractor could benefit the patient will be discussed.
