A pair of levi's jeans from the 1800s was just sold for $87,000 before levi's became such a big fashion brand that all these celebrities were wearing.

Levi's jeans were actually originally designed to help mine workers during the california gold rush in the 1800s.

Levi's as strauss, was an immigrant in san francisco, and he saw that there was a need for rough and tough clothing that these miners could use every day. And that's how Levi's reeds came into existence.

One key business lesson that all of us can learn from this is that if there is a booming industry, it might be a good idea to sell shovels or tools to cater to those in the industry.

I knaow it's a long gone from california, but the rebuilding brand is still strong.
