Patrick McGinnis is a U.S. Navy veteran, director of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9241 in Georgetown, California. He is also the owner of McGinnis Lock & Key in Georgetown. Having nearly lost his own home in the "Mosquito Fire" in Placer, and El Dorado counties this past Summer, he took it upon himself to do something he had never done before, organize a concert to benefit the 20 families who actually did lose their homes in that same fire. Insurance companies have heartlessly cancelled the homeowner's policies because they have been deemed, they live in "high fire risk" areas. This is happening all over California and the media, and politicians, have been ignoring it. Patrick McGinnis decided it was time for the entire community to step up to help their neighbors.
