A male and female House Finch are perched atop an Oak tree looking for the perfect place to fly off to for dinner. Although they are not known to mate for life, per se, they are known to stay with each other for a breeding season or two before going off to find a new mate. They usually lay 3 successful clutches of eggs each summer but have been known to raise as many as 6 clutches, although not usually successfully.
