Vijayanta tank was licensed Vickers MK-1 tank of Vickers.co in the UK, It was the first indigenous tank of the Indian Army, production continued at the Heavy Vehicles Factory in Avadi until 1983 with 2,200 being built, armed with 105 mm L7A2 it outgun and out-ranged most tanks it faced during 1971 & 65 wars on both Eastern front as well as Western front. #IndianArmy
