Orange peels by themselves are bitter but like with most fruits, the nutrients are in the peels. 1 TBSP of orange peel contains 14% of the daily value of vitamin C. That’s 3 times more than the fruit itself and 4 times more fiber. Not only that but orange peels contain beta-cryptoxanthin, vitamin A, folate, riboflavin, thiamine, vitamin B6, calcium, polyphenols like polymethoxylated flavones (PMF) and hesperidin.
