We're getting schooled in this video! Preservation Station in West Louisville, Kentucky is a unique antique destination, a brick 1950s country schoolhouse that has taken on new life as a venue for vintage decorators, professional craft makers, antique collectors and resellers looking for things we can flip for a profit. What will we find in its dozens of classrooms to tantalize us?

This place is fun for those of us who like to mix our antique and vintage into our everyday living. Each classroom is staged by a different dealer, each with its own feel and style, with foci ranging from repurposed & revitalized vintage furniture to 1940s elegant glass giftware, vintage fashion, antique salvage, even a case of pocket knives and cutlery! This bright and fun antique collective is likely to have some bargains tucked away for us to resell...how do we find them?

The answer comes as we wend our way through crooked corridors, down staircases and in-and-out of what was the old gym (now an events center and antique overflow space), past the old cafeteria (now a great scratch-made weekend restaurant) and into the old library, where shelves teem with antique pottery, 1950s kitsch, and goodies galore for us to explore! This venue proves profitable as well as fun to shop, and we send a pile up to the principal's office to hold for us to buy. What a perfect rainy day tonic antique shopping is!
