When applying for a carry permit demanding reasons why you need it should never be required

The Supreme Court is months away from deciding the case of New York Rifle & Pistol Association vs. Bruen. Central to the case is the onerous restrictions that New York imposes on people who apply for an unrestricted carry permit. With the idea that they court may find in favor of the plaintiffs the usual hysteria that comes when a court decision does not fit the agenda. But, requiring a, bureaucratically approved, reason to carry a firearm outside of one's residence should not be central to approval or disapproval.
