Hackers have targeted a communications platform used by Australian military personnel and defence staff with a ransomware attack. It is the latest in a string of cyber attacks on some of Australia's biggest companies. Officials insist no data was compromised. But local media, citing sources, reported that private information may have been stolen. These include dates of birth and enlistment details of military personnel. Telecoms company Optus and the country's biggest health insurer, Medibank, are among the companies that have been hacked recently.
