This episode of Knoxville Medicine’s Doc Talk with Rob Page, MD explores the subject of Gastroparesis. Gastroparesis is a disease in which the stomach cannot empty itself of food in a normal fashion. Symptoms include heartburn, nausea, vomiting, and feeling full quickly when eating. Treatments include medications and possibly surgery. Our special guest is Knoxville Academy of Medicine Past President, Matthew Mancini, MD with University Surgeons Associates. Dr. Mancini is a general surgeon at The University of Tennessee Medical Center.
