Esther: God's Unseen Presence--A Providential Refusal, Esther 3

So far, each of our messages has included the word “Providential.”
(Ch1--A Providential Banquet, Ch2--A Providential Queen, Ch3--A Providential Refusal) It is because every step so far has been quietly ordered by the Lord. Today’s passage is no different. In fact, this may be the most providential moment in the narrative.
This is where we meet the main antagonist and learn about the major conflict.
In refusing to bow to Haman, Mordecai has no idea what the evil he is unleashing on God’s people—but God does, and He has a plan already in place (providentially) to deliver His people. God is in control.
As we unpack the passage, we will again see Practical Principles that we can apply to our modern day situations.
