I survived my stay in Spirited Room 1302 at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado - one of the most haunted hotels in North America! This video is an exploration of the hotel and grounds during the day.

In recent years, the hotel has planted their very own Hedge Maze - due to the popularity of the Stanley Kubrick movie The Shining. Even though the movie was never filmed here, it was at this hotel on October 30, 1974 that horror writer Stephen King was snowed in here over night. The old hotel and isolated mountain setting inspired him to write his famous novel The Shining.

Because of the hotel's connection to the popular novel and film The Shining, many tourists and guests visiting The Stanley Hotel have asked "Where is the hedge maze?" Well, the hotel has finally delivered, and since my last visit in 2016 it really is growing into the hedge maze you would expect from The Shining!
