Crazy Billboard Stuns Progressive PA Voter

A progressive voter from Johnstown PA spotted something weird down the street from his house. There was a giant billboard decrying a local Democratic candidate coupled with fearmongering about Afghan refugees coming to take jobs away from Johnstown locals.

Hey, my name is Casey. I am in the heartland of Pennsylvania in Johnstown Pennsylvania. all right so what's it looking like there? Are people really super excited for Dr. Crudite? well I mean I don't think that's on anyone I mean I'm very Progressive all my friends are. and we're like a small knit of you know progressives in this area. and it's just that my girlfriend was terrified of Doug Mastriano. That's honestly my biggest fear. but I mean as far as the polling I can see you know Mastriano I was probably going to lose and so is Oz. so that's good. but there is as far as I mean that that's the national level. but one thing I wanted to talk about was our state election. I sent an email about this earlier this morning to you guys because over the weekend I saw a gigantic yard sign down the street from my neighbor's house. and I saw and I was like oh my God I can't believe that. because anyway we're gonna talk about State elections too much. but this is just like Jarred me because our state representative Frank Burns. I don't follow too much of what's going on in the state. but I saw the Republican who's running against our neighbor Renee Billow. and I actually worked over for a short time like 10 years ago for another company. and she was really nice and everything. I saw her name. I was like oh I used to work with her. Cool. and I touched base with her like a month ago at a council meeting and saw her again. I mean obviously, I'm not going to vote for her because I'm just going to vote straight D because I understand that we need to have as many Democrats in there as possible. but that's Frank Burns's sign that they just put up that says stop Renee Billow. local jobs for local workers, not Afghan refugees. and they actually spelled Afghan wrong without the H. and I saw that I was like that and it says at the bottom that it was paid for from the commission to re-elect Frank Burns. and I was like so that's an official sign from our State Rep, one of our state representatives. and I was like what is this even about. and I looked it up back in January there was an article about our vision 2025 and about how we have a super lack of jobs in the area. and that you know there are just Help Wanted signs everywhere. and they had this Vision together in 2025 and they were possibly looking at trying to find Qualified you to know refugees from the Afghan war to come to Johnstown and Cambria County to fill some of these jobs. based on qualifications.
