Democrat Get Out the Vote Protest Highlights and Interviews

Protesters turned up for the Whatcom Democratic Voter Turnout event that was centered around Rep Sharon Shewmake, Rep Alicia Rule, Sen Patty Murray, and other state and federal WA state officials.

Issues raised by the protest included still existing Covid Mandates for federal/state job listings, Public safety deterioration by majority Democrat legislations, and even contesting the legality of hosting the event under parts of the State Constitution.

Guests included state and local politicians as well as guest speakers like WA state Governor Jay Inslee and Tina Podlodowski. The event was centered around pushing voter turnout in the Whatcom Democratic State and Federal Races.

Close to a dozen participated in protesting while hundreds attended with minimal incidents only amounting to calling law enforcement (to which none were called) as well as simply blocked signs/cameras for speeches. Interactions between attendees and protesters themselves were cordial with only politicians receiving heckling and jabs from protesters.

The event was held in Bellingham, WA on October 29th, 2022 at Squalicum Creek Park.
