The Russian army launched a counterattack on the Svatovo-Kremensky front, capturing a number of settlements.

According to Russian sources, Group "O" and the Western Military District launched a counterattack in the southern sector, capturing the settlements of Makeevka, Nevskoye and Novosandovoe west of Kremina.
Russian forces reinforced with conscripts managed to expand their zone of influence. Artillery battles are fought along the entire front line.
Russian troops are advancing slowly and steadily in the areas of Andreevka, Belogorovka, Artemovsk, Bakhmutskoye, Vremevka, Zelenopole, Soledar, Mayorsk, Maryinka, Nevelskoye, Novobakhmutovka, Pervomayskoye, Yakovlevka.

Fierce fighting is taking place across the front line in Donbas, particularly in the Torsky-Svatovo-Kremennaya region, with Ukrainian forces trying to take control of the highway connecting the two regions and the Russians responding with barrages of thermobaric rockets from TOS-1.

On another Donbas front, soldiers of the 4th Lugansk brigade managed to encircle Ukrainian forces.

Immediately the mortar crews began firing at the encircled Ukrainian forces. Then the infantry took action. Part of the Ukrainians tried to escape through the forest zone, but they were spotted by Russian drone operators.
The coordinates of the Ukrainians were given to the artillery and the finishing blows followed.
According to the Russians , “this was an exemplary attack at the level of organization. While the infantry occupied the Ukrainian lines, mortar fire distracted them, the drone operators carefully monitored the development of the situation and gave the coordinates of the targets in time to the artillery which successfully completed the mission."

According to Russian military sources, Polish mercenaries were also killed in the clashes.
The Poles were on a truck bound for the Staroblesk region in Luhansk.
Unknown how, the Russians obtained information about this movement and were monitoring the wider area.

Romanian mercenaries and a large number of Ukrainian nationalists were killed in the fighting in the Svatovo region.
