Canada: Federal environment minister provides update on climate finance delivery plan – October 28, 2022

Steven Guilbeault, the federal minister of environment and climate change, takes part in a virtual news conference to provide an update on the climate finance delivery plan to help developing countries adapt to and tackle climate change. He is joined by Jennifer Morgan, German state secretary and special envoy for international climate action, and Alok Sharma, president of the COP26 climate change summit. At the United Nations' COP15 summit in 2009, developed nations committed to mobilize US$100 billion annually by 2020 for climate financing. The $100-billion goal was extended in 2015 through to 2025.
