Wardell Stephen Curry II is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association. He was born on March 14, 1988. Curry is considered by many to be one of the best basketball players of all time and the best shooter in NBA history. He is also credited with changing the game by getting teams and players to take more three-point shots. He has been named an NBA All-Star and All-NBA eight times, including four times on the first team. He has also been named the NBA's Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice, won four NBA championships, and won the MVP award for both the NBA Finals and the NBA All-Star Game.

Curry is the son of Dell Curry, who used to play in the NBA, and the older brother of Seth Curry, who plays in the NBA now. He played college basketball for the Davidson Wildcats, where he set scoring records for Davidson and the Southern Conference, was named player of the year twice, and set the NCAA record for most three-pointers made in a single season during his sophomore year. In the 2009 NBA draft, the Warriors picked Curry with the seventh overall pick.

Curry won the league MVP award for the first time in 2014–15 and led the Warriors to their first championship since 1975. The next season, he was the first player to win MVP by a unanimous vote and lead the league in scoring while shooting above 50–40–90. In the same year, the Warriors broke the record for most wins in an NBA season on their way to the 2016 NBA Finals, where they lost in seven games to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Curry helped the Warriors get back to the NBA Finals in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022. In 2017 and 2018, the Warriors won back-to-back titles, but the Toronto Raptors beat them in 2019. After missing the playoffs in 2020 and 2021, Curry and the Warriors beat the Boston Celtics in 2022 to win their fourth championship. Curry was named Finals MVP.
