A bipartisan group of senators is introducing a measure to create a China Grand Strategy Commission to develop a comprehensive plan on how the U.S. should tackle challenges from China.
Sens. John Cornyn, a Texas Republican, and Tim Kaine, a Virginia Democrat, announced plans Friday to create a 2-year commission to address the economic, security and military challenges from China with what they say will be a "whole-of-government approach." They are joined in sponsoring the plan by Sen. Angus King, a Vermont Independent. 
Cosponsors include Sens. Kevin Kramer (R-N.D.), Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and nine others.
