Bookkeeping Automation: Forwarding Invoices To Dext Using Gmail Filter/Tag Rules

Dext is an excellent tool to automate bookkeeping.

But getting invoices INTO Dext can prove to be a problem for busy business owners or those who don't love tech/apps as much as bookkeepers do.

In this video, Amy Hooke shows you how to streamline and automate this process in Gmail by:

1. Using filter/tagging rules to automatically tag emails with Invoice attachments
2. Review tag list and forward to Dext manually, which is great for 'catch-up' work or sending past invoices.
3. Set up a forwarding address to Dext "email in" address, and set up forwarding rules to automatically attach future tagged emails to Dext as they arrive in your inbox.
