Babylon is Fallen! Come Out!

Rev 18:4-5 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and
lest you receive of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
Just before Babylon falls, God’s people are exhorted to come out and stop having fellowship with sin or else suffer in the
judgment of Babylon. We are to “Come out you are holy!” The Saints (you) are God’s holiness! Once we realize who we
are in Christ, then we realize “I don’t belong in Babylon” and we separate ourselves. The best word to describe being in
Babylon is selfishness.
Can we be saved and still live in Babylon? I believe so, but it is a very dangerous place to be. Leaving Babylon is a
journey, a process. We don’t take one step and then think we are out of Babylon. Being saved is the first step and then
our journey begins. Are we walking “in Babylon” or are we walking “away” from Babylon?
The number one determining factor of which direction we are walking is by what is in our heart.
The number one way to see what is in our heart is by our fruit and by what we say.
Luke 6:43-45 "For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by
its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. 45 A good man
out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth
evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
Gal 5:16-21 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the
Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you
wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are:
adultery, unfaithfulness to a spouse
fornication, sexual activity apart from a spouse
uncleanness, impure thoughts
lewdness, provocative-seductive speech and attire
idolatry, anything we have to have in order to be happy
sorcery, illegal drugs and witchcraft and the occult
hatred, an extreme dislike for people
contentions, a divisive argumentative person
jealousies, wanting what others have feeling sorry for yourself
outbursts of wrath, a display of anger
selfish ambitions, when we do something, we do it for our own gain
dissensions, rebellious spirit opposing what God is doing
heresies, substituting self-willed opinion for submission to the truth
envy, greed-jealousy that leads to spite for others
murders, taking the life of the innocent, especially the unborn
drunkenness, drinking alcohol to the point of altering consciousness
revelries, a party attitude becomes lewd and obnoxious
and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will
not inherit the kingdom of God.
We all go through an internal struggle to make the right choice (righteousness) or the wrong choice (selfishness). Every
choice we make is a step in a certain direction. Choices determine our destiny. When we choose selfishness (Babylon)
we turn our back on our Lord. Repent means to turn and go back.

Josh 24:14-15 "Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your
fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord,
choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve… But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
2 Cor 6:14-7:1 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with
lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has
a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the
living God.
As God has said: "I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people." 17
Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive
you." 18 'I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty." 7 Therefore, having
these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear
of God.
Holy: Strong’s #40, Greek, hagios (hag’-ee-os); sacred, pure, blameless, consecrated, separated, properly revered,
worthy of veneration, Godlikeness.
Saints; Strong’s #40, Greek hagios (hag'-ee-os), sacred (physically, pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially,
consecrated), (most) holy (one, thing), saint. used over 65 times in the New Testament to describe followers of Jesus
Christ.
Sanctified: Strong’s #37, Greek hagiazo (hag-ee-ad'-zo) to make holy, i.e. (ceremonially) purify or consecrate; (mentally)
to venerate, to separate or set apart. In the NT the word describes a manifestation of life produced by the indwelling of
the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit; #40, Greek hagios
Spirit Greek Strong’s #4151 pneuma (pnyoo-mah) compare with “pneumonia” and “pneumatic.” Breath, breeze, wind,
and spirit. The breath in our lungs that allows our vocal cords to respond to God. It is the Holy Spirit in us enabling us to
live a victorious life. W/W Rm 7:6
1 Peter 1:13-16 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be
brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as
in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, "Be
holy, for I am holy."
Eph 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the
heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and
without blame before Him in love,
1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may
proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but
are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
1 Thess 4:3-7 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each
of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles
who do not know God; 6 that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is
the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified. 7 For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.
