Food Shortages and Crop Failures: Report From South Carolina

As we approach Fall and harvest season we will start getting crop failure and food shortage reports coming in from farmers, ranchers, brokers, traders, grocery outlets,etc. Don't trust the USDA numbers, they just try to keep commodity traders happy. Rely on reports from farmers and food suppliers. In this article, South Carolina experienced massive crop failures. More will follow across the United States. As I find them I will bring them to you. What might seem like small crop failures in small areas, when looked at it on a national level, tell a better picture of how the whole food system is doing. And the food system is not looking good. Food shortages will increase and as news of poor harvests start hitting main stream media, more pressure will be put on the food supply and panic buying might begin. Stock up now on what you eat. Harvest your garden and store it for long term (canning, freezing, drying, freeze drying, etc.). Don't let anything go to waste.
