Fix Ceiling Water Stains - Unpainted Water Stained Ceiling Bleached Back to White

If you have a textured ceiling, they are likely not painted. These ceilings are made of drywall joint compound that create the flat but textured look. This one is called knockdown.

A roof leak will go through the ceiling drywall and sometimes cause stains like the one here.

Bleaching this 1 month old stain made it disappear without painting the entire ceiling. I'd recommend a 35-40% Bleach to Water mix if I were to do this again. A few days later, the ceiling dried completely and the stain was gone.
Over mixing bleach is not a good idea as the bleach itself is yellow and might leave a yellow stain!
