Beyer-Garratt 6029, Australia’s largest operating steam locomotive, hits the tracks for a day of historic steam train rides. We enjoyed a 1-hour, non-stop trip from Penrith Station to Springwood and return behind ‘the Garratt’, taking in parts of the scenic Blue Mountains along the way.
