Renewable Energy Zone- Central Coast, Hunter and Newcastle

Central Coast, Hunter and Newcastle are becoming a Renewable Energy Zone (REZ). Energy Co are asking for submissions for the National Infrastructure Strategy (NIS)- open for submission till the 28th October.
If we do not say anything they assume that we give informed consent.
I have broken down the information to the best of my ability- with some wonderful input from others- the first 10 mins or so is just to give some context and to illustrate that Energy Co's obligation is to create meaningful engagement with the community.

10 mins in (or so) I speak to some considerations and concerns regarding what is in the strategy and what it will mean for the community and the environment.

I hope this can be of use to others and that you will consider putting in a submission- it can just be asking questions. in the strategy it mentions many times that it is EnergyCo's role to listen to the community and to ensure the community has a part in the planning of the REZ- so let's hold them accountable and make clear that we expect that they as a government body are responsible to us; and that the communities concerns come before corporate interests.
