3 Planes Land at Gibraltar International Airport, Gibraltar Plane Spotting 4K

Gibraltar Airport Runway is one of the most dangerous in the world because it has a highway bisecting the runway on which pedestrians and cars cross in between landings.
Today BA492, EZY1963 and EZY8901come if for landing. Due to the landings, the highway with foot traffic, cars, trucks, and busses, have to stop at either side of the runway to allow the planes to land and taxi to the terminal.

I love how these planes land on a tarmac that is surrounded on all sides by water. This is a must watch to see how close to the water these planes land and take off. There are very few airports in the world like this, that could support commercial airline jets to land and take off under such extreme conditions.

Gibraltar is one of the most dangerous airports in the world because the runway is short, it is surrounded by water on both ends of the tarmac, an international highway bisects the tarmac with cars, bikes and people on foot crossing. The weather caused by the Strait of Gibraltar can lead to brutal crosswinds. The pilots who land here have to be very qualified. Flights to Gibraltar are currently only from the United Kingdom because Gibraltar International Airport is technically a military airport not a civilian one.
