Steve Marshall exposes plan for destruction of West side of Manhattan

The City uses the term 'blighted' effectively condemning viable commercial, residential and historic city blocks for their land grab.

This has happened in many neighborhoods over the decades, Greenwich Village for one in particular. When NYU moved to Washington Square in 1957, several city blocks were taken over and leased to the University for a fraction of their worth.

The Madison Square Garden area is now a target and some residents like Steve Marshall are fighting back.
