MODERN COLOSSEUM - WILD YOUTH

‘Modern Colosseum, the current single by Irish band Wild Youth is a song written about the frustration of our times. From watching events across the world, unfold in disbelief, while also being at the mercy of global power while watching our leaders 'dancing on the tv fucking our freedom' . It’s about trying to stomach major world events while the media mask the truth. We’ve created our very own ‘Modern Colosseum’. We feed it and observe its content daily but we are becoming more desensitized to the constant struggles we observe. Its about rising crime, cost of living, war, politics, power! Its about not being a snowflake generation, who live for the cancel culture.
Much like the Colosseum, we are stuck inside a monumental struggle that never ends. We’re all stuck in a ‘Modern Colosseum’.
