All right we got some bad news to report. this is breaking workers at an Amazon warehouse or at the Amazon warehouse outside of Albany voted against unionizing 406 to 206. Steve Greenhouse I don't think he's still with the New York Times said he's eager to see some serious reporting about why the Union lost and what Amazon did to press and pressure workers to vote against unionizing especially at a warehouse with such a bad safety record. I guess we'll get a notion of what that is. Chris Smalls had a statement immediately after essentially saying that they felt that the voting process was not free nor fair. And that he called it a sham election in his statement. so I'm curious to see more details but it seems like at least from ALU's end there's been their opinion that there's been some dirty business here. And I guess we'll get it and I would not be shocked. of course. no that wouldn't be shocking. And the real question is you know we'll see how the national laboratory board reacts. they had issues with what happened in Bessemer. This vote was not as close as Bessemer I think. and I guess we'll. See and what's so just upsetting about this and you just see the power of a company like Amazon is that basically, the ALU from my understanding had to put some of their more National Ambitions on the back burner because Amazon has them tied up in legal battles about the first successful unionization that JFK8. And so this is kind of what happens when that you're you're tied up by a major major Behemoth of the corporation that has so much power. It may speak to some of the limitations too of independent unions in going against such a massive entity like Amazon. Right. But we'll have time to talk about what I imagine in the coming days. maybe with Chris Smalls. We'll see about that.
