FIRE IN MY BONES
Like Jeremiah the prophet
I too have had enough
Of the willful, blind, and ignorant
I guess we'll see if God's a bluff

Discouraged I cried out
"My lips will remain silent"
Sealing up heavens dialog
An internal entrapped violence

It's time to speak, "thus saith the Lord"
With lips ablaze for lost souls
Fresh from the hand of the Cherubim
His revelation made of coals

Religious traditionalists lost
With hearts that trust the liar
So now I must break forth
In my bones this raging fire

His message no longer sealed
Even if I stand alone
My lips have kissed His coals
And sparked a fire within my bones.
