Is ‘Misinformation’ Creating Extreme Political Views? | The Chad Prather Shoaw

A new survey just came out from the Pearson Institute, showing that 77% of adults over 18 in this country agree that “misinformation increases hate crimes." 73% say that, at the very least, misinformation increases “extreme political views." Now, on its face, you could perhaps accept that statement without even having to really think about it. If you think that you should be getting ALL of your political opinions ONLY from someone like me, you need to branch out and take on a wider array of opinions before you make up your mind. It’s absolutely necessary to the process of critical thinking that we listen to and consider the opinions of those with whom we disagree.
