If you garden or farm in a warmer climate, this is a must-have survival crop.

We've now discovered that growing cassava isn't limited to the tropics. We are now successfully growing multiple varieties in zone 8! Here's how we figured out how far north cassava would grow for us.

If times get tough, make sure you're growing cassava!

Grow cassava as your survival food supply and you'll have a food pantry right in the ground, year-round. This tropical root crop is also known as yuca, manioc and tapioca. Cassava roots are starchy and dense, with good flavor. Along with yams and sweet potatoes, cassava are one of my favorite survival gardening crops for warm climates. #survivalfood #easygardening #prepping It's very easy to have a self-suffient prepper garden if you have space for cassava.
