RNC sues Google claiming bias against Republicans

In the suit filed in federal court in California, the RNC says Google is discriminating against it for its political affiliation. The party says this is coming during key times for election fundraising, and quote "the timing of Google's most egregious filtering is particularly damning." The RNC claims the bias has been happening for ten months with no solution or explanation given.

In August, federal election regulators voted to allow Google to go ahead with its plan to make it easier for campaign emails to bypass spam filters. It was determined the project did not violate federal campaign finance laws. Google has previously denied Republican criticism that spam filters are biased against conservatives.
