...CB radio antenna mod.....

....I've had problems for a long time trying to use a mobile antenna on a tin when I'm away from a vehicle to mount it on....there is just never enough ground plane....so I had the idea of using two tape measures as radials to balance the antenna....worked really well, got the SWR down from 1:2.4 (way too high) to about 1:1.4 (acceptable)....so I'm going to go to a hardware shop and buy a couple of 5m tape measures to chuck in the radio bag....
