Is it cheating to submit art in a contest for money that you had an AI system generate for you? Jason M. Allen used an AI system called Midjourney to automatically generate art for him. All he had to do was throw in keywords for the system to base the art off of and then the 1st place prize was secured. “His work” titled "Théâtre D'opéra Spatial" which is french for "Space Opera Theater" earned him a cool $750 at the Colorado State Fair Fine Arts Competition. It was submitted as a surreal cross of the Renaissance and steampunk styles.

Here’s how you can generate artwork as well using Midjourney on Discord for free without having to be invited like with OpenAI's DALL-E 2 or work under Google for their Research's Imagen.
