Tear gas deployed as Sudan protesters hit Khartoum streets ahead of military coup’s anniversary

Protesters took to the streets of Khartoum, Sudan to demand the return of civilian rule as the first anniversary of the military coup looms. Smoke bombs and tear-gas canisters were reportedly thrown at demonstrators by police.
